Fixing “Telegram Icon Disappearing” error on Linux Mint
Due to a bug in Linux many users, myself included have found the icon of their favourite messenger disappear out of nowhere. There are two ways of dealing with this
Step 1: Find the location of the executable telegram file.
So the command which will run this executable file would be home/<your System name here>/Downloads/Telegram/Telegram
So all we have to do now is to create a Launcher named Telegram and paste “home/<your System name here>/Downloads/Telegram/Telegram” in the command column.
And you can choose the Working Directory of your choice, but in order to access it easily, I choose /home/<your system name>/Downloads/
Lastly, you can make either choose icon from the menu available or create a cool custom Icon yourself.
From here on you can either choose an icon from the menu or just create a custom Icon of your choice.
This will create an icon pinned to desktop, to pin it to panel, right click on it
And Wallah! There you have it.
